Returns and refunds policy
Overview
At OPAL & CO, we take pride in offering unique Mexican opal, handcrafted gold, and silver pieces. Our returns and refunds policy lasts 30 days from the date of purchase. If more than 30 days have passed, unfortunately we cannot offer a full refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition you received it, including its original packaging.
Certain products are exempt from returns due to their nature:
- Perishable goods such as food, flowers, or magazines.
- Intimate, sanitary products, hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.
Additional non-returnable items:
- Gift cards.
- Downloadable software products.
- Some health and personal care items.
To process your return, you’ll need the receipt or proof of purchase. Do not send the product directly to the manufacturer.
In certain cases, only partial refunds are granted:
- Books with obvious signs of use.
- Opened CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, software, video games, cassettes, or vinyl records.
- Items not in their original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
- Items returned more than 30 days after delivery.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll send you an email notifying you of receipt and approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, the refund will be automatically processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received your refund:
- Check your bank account again.
- Contact your credit card company; it may take time to post.
- Contact your bank; processing times apply.
- If the issue persists, email us at contact@opalandcoo.com.
Sale Items
Only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds. Sale items are not refundable.
Exchanges
We replace items only if they are defective or damaged. To exchange for the same item, email us at contact@opalandcoo.com and ship the item to:

Gifts
If purchased as a gift and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the return value. We’ll mail you the gift certificate upon receipt.
If not marked as a gift, or shipped to the giver first, the refund goes to the original purchaser, who will be notified.

You cover return shipping costs, which are non-refundable and deducted from any refund. Delivery times for exchanges vary by location. For high-value items, use trackable shipping or insurance. We don’t guarantee receipt of untracked returns.
