Shipping Policy

Overview

At OPAL & CO, we strive to deliver your unique Mexican opal, handcrafted gold, and silver jewelry as quickly and securely as possible. We ship from our studio in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico, using trusted carriers like FedEx, DHL, Estafeta, and MexPost. Shipping rates, methods, and estimated delivery times are calculated and displayed at checkout based on your location, order weight, and value.

All orders are shipped with tracking and insurance for high-value items to ensure safe arrival. We process orders within 1-2 business days (Monday-Friday, excluding Mexican holidays).

Domestic Shipping (Mexico)

  • Standard Shipping: 3-7 business days. Starting at MXN $150.
  • Express Shipping: 1-3 business days. Starting at MXN $300.
  • Free shipping on orders over MXN $5,000 within Mexico.

Deliveries are to street addresses or P.O. Boxes via national carriers. Rural or remote areas may incur additional fees or longer times.

International Shipping

We ship worldwide. Rates start at USD $25 or equivalent, depending on destination:

  • USA & Canada: 5-10 business days.
  • Europe: 7-14 business days.
  • Rest of World: 10-20 business days.

Important: International customers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, VAT, and import fees charged by their country. These are not included in your order total and may be collected upon delivery. We recommend checking your local customs regulations.

Order Processing & Tracking

  1. After purchase, you’ll receive a confirmation email.
  2. Once shipped, a shipping confirmation with tracking number will be sent.
  3. Track your package via the carrier’s website or our order status page.

Shipping times are estimates and may be affected by:

  • Carrier delays, weather, holidays, or strikes.
  • Customs clearance for international orders.
  • High-volume periods (e.g., holidays).

Lost, Damaged, or Stolen Packages

  • Damaged on Arrival: Contact us within 48 hours of receipt at contact@opalandcoo.com with photos. We’ll file a claim and arrange a replacement or refund.
  • Lost in Transit: We’ll investigate with the carrier. If not found within 14 days, a replacement or refund will be issued.
  • Stolen: Claims require a police report; we’ll assist with insurance.

We are not liable for delays or issues beyond our control.

Multiple Shipments

Large orders may ship in multiple packages for faster delivery.

Changes or Cancellations

Shipping details can’t be changed once processed. Contact us immediately for potential cancellations before shipment.

Sustainability

We use eco-friendly packaging: recycled materials, minimal plastic, and carbon-neutral shipping options where available.
